We had a festive day on 16th December, wearing Christmas outfits as well as tasting the delights in a bake sale to raise money for the local homeless shelter, Charles Thompson’s Mission. They are always there, year after year, to provide food and support to those in financial difficulty, so we really wanted to help them out this Christmas. After all, it is the season of giving.
We wanted to thank everyone in the office for their generosity. Whether you baked, bought, ate or just donated, it all really helped make the day fantastic. We raised a total of £180 and George kindly matched this, so we had £360 to give to the mission, to help them continue their work supporting those less fortunate. Big thank you everyone, couldn’t have done it without you!
On 22nd December, Tom Crowder and Ella Sparks visited Charles Thompson’s Mission to personally deliver the money that was raised during our festive bake sale. It was lovely seeing Bernie the Centre Manager, who showed us the Christmas hampers ready to be delivered by the fire service. They do such amazing work for the community, so we’re always happy to help them!
