Congratulations to Edward Rutson, Tico Kromkamp and Johnathan Clark our leakage technicians working on contracts for Thames Water and United Utilities for successfully undertaking and passing the IOSH course Managing Safely.
The course has provided the leakage technicians with the practical actions they need to take and the additional knowledge and tools to tackle safety and health issues they are responsible for.
The managing safety course gave them additional knowledge in accessing and controlling risks, understanding responsibilities, understanding hazards, investigation incidents, measure performance and protecting the environment.
Crowder takes health and safety responsibilities seriously with Company Director Tom Crowder also recently undertaking and successfully passing the course. Tom said, “the course content was ideal to assist project managers and team leaders who are responsible for health and safety to build a good working knowledge and to apply what they have learnt out in the field.”
One of our participants said “IOSH Managing safely is a great course that educated me about health and safety management in the work place. I got to learn about a variety of topics such as COSHH , asbestos awareness and fire safety. This has improved my knowledge on health and safety which helps me to carry out my tasks in a safer manner whilst also contributing to my continual professional development. I enjoyed the course and would recommend it to anyone who wants to broaden their knowledge on Health and Safety while gaining a nationally recognised qualification.”
Another said “Completing the IOSH Managing Health and Safety course has given me a much better understanding of the principles, regulations, procedures and work required to promote and maintain a safe working environment. It will help me not only in my regular day to day work but also in new or unexpected work or circumstances.”
Fantastic work all, well done!
