Water Network Management

Water Industry Short Course consists of 2 classroom sessions with access to an eLearning course. It’s suitable for those with experience in the water industry, looking to expand their theoretical understanding of aspects such as water network quality and upstream leakage. This course is designed for the classroom however can be delivered remotely, if necessary.

Production Planning

Production Planning course consists of 2 classroom sessions with access to an eLearning course. This course will provide knowledge on scheduling production of water from a Water Company’s portfolio of Water Treatment Works (WTWs), to meet demand, sustainably, at the lowest cost. This course is designed for the classroom however can be delivered remotely, if necessary. The sessions encourage group participation through the slides and knowledge check questions. After these sessions, participants can self-study via the Crowder eLearning platform, where the slides are housed, and an assessment is carried out. A certificate can be obtained once this course is completed.

Leak Detection

Standard Leakage Detection course for those who are new to the water industry or may need further knowledge and development of their skills. Upon completion, participants will have a better understanding of leak detection and, as leak detection technicians, will contribute towards the sustainability of water and the environment. A certificate can be obtained once this course is completed. Approximately 12 hours Learning Duration.

Netbase

With an implementation of Netbase or during an upgrade to a new version, Crowders will organise training that will be carried out on the client database. Training can be carried out in person or virtually depending on the requirements of the project. This is a great opportunity for Netbase users to get exposure to the database and ask the subject matter experts. The training sessions include client specific slide decks and exercises on the relevant Netbase Applications.

National Water Hygiene Card & SHEA Water

The National Water Hygiene Card also known as Blue Card training is short mandatory training that all UK water companies require for individuals to enter clean water sites or work on the clean water network – known as ‘Restricted Operations’. Individuals will be expected to complete a multiple-choice exam at the end of the course. Once this exam is passed, the Blue Card will be available to be downloaded on the app and this must be always accessible when on-site. This live training can be delivered online or in a classroom and has to be renewed every 3 years.

NetOps Training

NetOps is our web-based operator tool to support network activities such as DMA Leakage Detection. It brings together Netbase data and cloud systems data into a central view to visualise the live water network. There is a Desktop with Extended Features for Analysts & Planners and a Mobile version for Field Operations. NetOps is split into three sections, Explore, Mobile and Downstream.

NetOps Training can be delivered physically in classroom sessions, or virtually, dependant on the client requirements. There will be client specific slide decks and exercises to give confidence to those who will be using it. We have clear objectives to ensure all aspects of the application are covered. Training is delivered in three sessions to coincide with the three sections of NetOps. Each session will be approximately 2.5hrs long.
